The study stemmed from the question that older workers has been excluded from the discussion on precarious labor. Based on that question, this study aimed to understand characteristics of precarious labor of older worker by comparison with those of younger workers. Data from The Korean Labor Panel Study were employed. The findings showed that 19.6% of the older workers were identified as a high risk group, 45.9% as a risk free group in term of precarious labor. Women, less educated, employed at service business, having no chance for job training showed higher percent of high risk group for both older and younger laborers. Less educated, employed at service business significantly determined the possibility to being identified as the high risk group for precarious labor. Implications were discussed based on the dual labor market theory.
